The Inaugural QAHS Music Showcase took place in Week 10 of Term 1, presenting a new format and focus in place of the former Soiree concert series.
The Music Showcase was hosted by Year 12 Music Leaders, featured performances by our school String Ensemble, Concert Band and Jazz Band. As well as solo vocal, piano, and guitar performances by various performers from different year levels.
Thank you to our students for rehearsing and performing, for our Year 12 Music Leaders for hosting, and to our ensemble directors, Ms Fimka Hampson, Mr Matthew Armstrong, and Ms Sue Purton. Thanks also to parents, families, students and teachers who came out to support our performers, and for the generous and kind feedback.
The Term 2 Music Showcase will be occurring on Wednesday of Week 5, May 17, from 5.00-6.00pm. Students interested in performing should express their interest to Mr Emery.
